Captain’s Competition – Sunday 4 October
In aid of Parkinson’s UK
Club Captain Kevin Holton is running a special one-off team event in support of Parkinson’s UK.
The competition will be played as an Alternative Texas Scramble in teams of four. Teams can be men, ladies or mixed, playing from the white or red tees.
Entry fee: £6.00 per person
The format is simple. Everyone drives, but the player whose shot is selected cannot play the next shot.
For example, on a par 3, if the team chooses Steve’s drive, Steve cannot play the next shot. The other three players then putt. Whichever player’s putt is selected cannot play the following shot, but Steve can then rejoin the other two players.
Each player must have a minimum of four drives selected during the round.
There are some excellent fourball vouchers available as prizes:
1st Team: West Byfleet Golf Club
2nd Team: Dale Hill Golf Club
3rd Team: Hamptworth Golf Club
4th Team: East Brighton Golf Club
Please support the Captain’s charity, enjoy a fun team competition and give yourself the chance to play some fantastic courses.
